For the launch of Kubwa Tribal, the latest evolution of Kubwa – a luxury sneaker collection – and to officially open the doors of the new store in Abuja, AFA Sports held a grand ceremony at the Jabi Lake Mall on Wednesday, 25th November.

The Kubwa Tribal features a perfect blend of African and western characteristics thereby offering versatility for people who hold their style in equal regard. Like the other Kubwa shoes that were inspired by nature, the Kubwa Tribal draws its inspiration from African tribes.

In addition to the Kubwa Tribal, the Kaftan Tee, Sports Hijab and Jalamia Tracks were also introduced from AFA Sports’ new clothing line ‘Afrileisure’.

“What we have done here today is just a little amongst the many things we have in mind to achieve. The ‘Afrileisure’ line was created with passion for Africa. We consolidated with the current fashion trend to achieve products that resonate with the athleisure and sports environment. We are also very pleased to finally be in Abuja amongst friends and those that have been supportive to the AFA brand. We see you and we appreciate the warm reception you have given us. We hope that together, we can continue to create products that we can all be proud of” Ugo Udezue, CEO AFA Sports.

The ceremony had in attendance Abuja socialites whose patronage sold the store out of its coveted new products amid pomp and pageantry. They expressed joy at the initiative taken to set up a brand like AFA Sports in Africa. They commended the creative mind behind the ‘Afrileisure’ line and most especially the Kubwa Tribal.

Also, in attendance was Paul Okoye popularly known as Rudeboy. He treated the crowd to a beautiful musical rendition and applauded the expansion move into Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory. He also urged the brand to continue spreading its reach until it has established presence in every state of the country.
